I am an Interior Designer,
because it’s what I was meant to be.
Since childhood, I’ve had an innate sense of what it takes to make a room “click”. I was forever moving furniture around our family house. My mother never quite knew just what she’d find when she arrived home.
Later, I was able to pursue my dream of becoming an Interior Designer. Through my many years of training and experience, I have come to know the home is not centre-stage. It merely provides background to a full life.
Simply put, I love what I do. So do my clients.
VILLA SERENA – B&B in Sechelt, B.C. – Ronda & Steve Martin
“The house was awful, truly awful. Clipboard in hand, Ruth sketched, measured and projected calm; showing colors, fabrics, and themes. 75 days later the ugly house was transformed in The Villa, down to the smallest detail. Our success was largely due to the tireless efforts, warmth, and wit of our designer, Ruth. We highly recommend her, and have used her services for many other projects”.
Other B&B’s on the Sunshine Coast in B.C., I have helped create from conception

RUFFLES – Ladies’ Wear in Pincher Creek, AB – Karen Andrew
“Both my new store and my new home are fabulous – as always! You seem to know what new directions I am imagining.”
Elementary School Essay
This little gem was recently found in our family home, written as an elementary school essay, the reference to Davey Jones from The Monkees dates it to the 60’s sometime. I have no memory of writing this and am amazed at my knowledge of details at a time of limited TV, magazines, or design influence!
